Jelaya Rae Johnson, 8-month-old baby girl, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in De Queen, Arkansas.

She was born in Mena, Arkansas, on May 26, 2025, to Kenyana and Keylon Johnson. Jelaya Rae was a beautiful, precious angel.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Dorothy and Otis Powell; her great-grandfather, Bobby Stewart; her great-uncle, Jimmy Stewart; her great-aunt, Charlotte House; and her cousin, LahBrandin Morris.

Jelaya leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Kenyana Johnson of Lockesburg, Arkansas; her father, Keylon Johnson of Idabel, Oklahoma; one sister, Jaelyana Perez of Horatio, Arkansas; her maternal grandparents, Tonya and Carlos Martinez of Lockesburg, Arkansas; grandfather Jimmy Johnson of De Queen, Arkansas; her paternal grandparents; two aunts, Destiny and TJ Haney of Lockesburg, Arkansas; Jianni Johnson of Alabama; one uncle, Jonathan Gonzalez and Ashley Del Angel (Evangelina, Kehlanii, and Armanii Gonzalez) of De Queen, Arkansas; one special aunt, Misty Nixon (Angelica and Tanner) of De Queen, Arkansas; great-grandmother, Linda Stewart of De Queen, Arkansas; great aunt and uncle, Sergio and Esmeralda Martinez of De Queen, Arkansas; special friends, Sabra (Johnny) Ouellette of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Jamarion Conway of Nashville, Arkansas; along with a number of aunts and uncles, other family members and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Jelaya Rae Johnson will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 14, 2026, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Ida Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., Friday, February 13, 2026, in the funeral home chapel.
