Jearldean
Brown
Feb 2, 1937 — Mar 24, 2020
De Queen
Mrs. Jearldean Brown
Mrs. Jearldean Brown, age 83, resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at her home.
She was one of eleven children born to Albert and Elmira Franklin Clayton on February 2, 1937 in De Queen. She was a graduate of Sevier County Training School in Lockesburg and was a Homemaker. She married the love of her life, William Aubrey "Bill" Brown, Sr., on June 2, 1956 in Longview, Texas, and to this union, six children were born. Jearldean spent her life serving others. She was a caretaker and nanny, and shared her love for Christ with her over-the-phone ministry. She had a love for music and as it is told, she wore out many radios listening to her beloved gospel songs. She was the former Pianist for Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ and enjoyed reading, studying the Bible and playing piano, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Regina Kay Brown; and nine siblings.
Jearldean leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband of over 63 years, Bill Brown of De Queen; two sons, William Brown, Jr. and Michael Brown, both of De Queen; three daughters, Patricia Brown and Elmyra Brown, both of De Queen, and Rhonda Brown Tucker and husband Michael of Seneca, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Derrick Whitmore (Latoria), Alisha Brown Williams (Ricky), Greg White (Lashayla), Andre Dade, Fantasia White and Michael S. Brown; eleven great-grandchildren, Kobi (Bree), Ashton, Aubrey, Ryann, Donyea, Madison, Trinity, Kylan, Journey, Greyson and Gavin; one sister, Velma Jean McElroy of Carson, California; special friends, Rita Williams, Tyra Williams, Diane Franklin, Sandra Daniel and Grace Williams; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Jearldean Brown will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 29, 2020 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Eld. Jerome Edwards and Bro. Kevin Brazil officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Viewing will be general. You may send an online sympathy message at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
