Mr. James Simmons
Mr. James Earl Simmons, 62, died Friday August 19th, 2022, in peace at his own home. James was born on February 6, 1960, in Grand Junction, Colorado to John Cliff Simmons and Anita Louisa Simmons.

James was a contractor for CB&I for many years of his life as well as owning his own logging company in his younger years. James married the love of his life Tammy Gail Simmons in December of 1983. The two were each other's lifelong companions. Together they raised two children. Stacie Simmons and Jared Simmons. Not only was James a father, he was also a loving grandfather. James and Tammy have one granddaughter, Hannah Mendez, whom she called "her papa". James loved to hunt and fish. He also had a dog whom he loved like a child named Abby. He raised all kinds of farm animals such as chickens, pigs, and turkeys. He was also the occasional "dance papa".

James is survived by his two children, Stacie Lynn Simmons and James Jared Simmons; granddaughter, Hannah Grace Mendez; brother, Jerry Simmons and sister-in-law, Tonya Simmons; sister, Susie Hopson and brother-in-law, Keith Hopson, and sister, Janet Simmons. James is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by wife, Tammy Gail Simmons; parents, John and Anita; and brothers, Johnny Simmons and Jimmy Simmons.
