Mr. James Jordan
Mr. James Arnold Jordan, age 75, a resident of De Queen, and former resident of Foreman, died Monday, January 13, 2020, in De Queen.
He was born in Millerton, Oklahoma, on October 25, 1944 and was a graduate of Valliant High School. He worked as a truck driver and was a Baptist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reg Jordan and Bettie Catherine Hester and Sam Curtis and Verda Tidwell Jordan; one son, Curtis Dean Jordan; two grandsons, Cody Jordan and Calvin James Woods; two stepsons, Ronnie Thorsby, and Rusty Thorsby; his wife, Jeanetta Val Jordan; one brother, Paul Jordan; and two sisters, Tommie Jordan Holman and Mary Jo Jordan.
He is survived by five daughters and a son-in-law, Renisa Thomas of Oklahoma City, Lisa Lopez of Broken Bow, Cathy Day of Horatio, Margie Shaw of Crossroads, and Carrie and Rudy Rivas of De Queen; fourteen grandchildren, Leticia Silva and Gloria Silva Bridges, both of Oklahoma City, Sammy Lee Lopez and Tevin Woods both of Broken Bow, Brittany Shaw, Scotty Shaw, Jessyca Hernandez and Hunter Day all of De Queen, Robin Jordan of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Seaerra Jordan of Hugo, Jerry Curtis Tabor of Haworth, Rustin Thorsby of Arizona, Carter Rivas and Elaina Rivas both of De Queen; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Jordan and Duskin Jordan; four sisters, Doris Jordan Farmer, Jerri Jordan Rice, Linda Jordan Anselmo and Shannon Jordan Gann; a special friend, Glenda Glover McDonald; as well as, other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services for Mr. James Jordan will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, Garvin, Oklahoma, with Jack Jordan, David Jordan and Jerri Rice officiating. Burial will be held at the Garvin Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. You may send an online sympathy message at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
