James S. Haury, age 53, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in De Queen, Arkansas.

James was born to Frances Madewell in Clinton, Oklahoma on August 29, 1971. He was a member of the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribes and U.S Navy Veteran. The youngest of 10 children, his childhood was retold as fond memories and stories of resilience. At 17, he enlisted in the U.S Navy and spent several years traveling the world. He met his loving wife Christy of 31 years. Together they raised two daughters. James is remembered as a devoted father whose endless worry was "making sure my girls are always taken care of."  To many he is known as "Uncle James", a proud role he played in the lives of his nieces and nephews. James cherished his two grandchildren and the time they spent together. He will be remembered for his storytelling and love for his family.

James is preceeded in death by his mother Frances Madewell-Haury; two sisters Leta Loneman and Evelyn Espindola; two brothers John Haury and Donald Loneman. Niece Savannah Loneman. Great Nephew Jeremiah Green.

He leaves to Cherish his memory, his wife Christy Haury-Rodriguez; two daughters, Jamie Haury , Sadie Haury and son-in-law Christopher Teehee. His two grandchildren Kaden and Simone Haury. Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Teresa and Chris Rodriguez. Brothers; Chris Haury, Cecil Haury. Sisters; Rita Loneman, Sara Loneman and Donna K. Loneman.

Funeral Services for Mr. James Haury will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 21, 2025, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military rites will follow in Redmen Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen.
