Mr. James Hall
Mr. James Edward Hall, age 84, resident of Decatur, Texas, and former resident of De Queen, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, in Decatur, Texas.

James was born one of five sons to Robert Edward and Elsie Mae Perrin Hall on February 11, 1938, in Athens, Arkansas. He was a 1956 graduate of Horatio High School and later married the love of his life, Dorothy Marie VanMeter, on June 4, 1958. To this union, two sons were born. James worked his career as a poultry farmer, growing for Tyson Foods and Pilgim's Pride. He and Dorothy also owned Surplus Sales in De Queen. He was a member of the Horatio Church of Christ, and enjoyed hunting, sports, and collecting cars. James best spent his time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Greg Hall; one grandchild, Isabella Hall; and three brothers, Roger Hall, Cephis Hall, and Doug Hall.

James leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over sixty-four years, Dorothy Hall of Decatur, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Amy Hall of Paradise, Texas; two granddaughters and their fiancés, Maddy Hall and Corbin Aaen, and Addison Hall and Trenton Cottrell, all of Paradise, Texas; one brother, Lemuel Hall; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Memorial Services for Mr. James Hall will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Horatio Church of Christ with Minister Bobby Tatum officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
