Mr. James McCoy Franklin, age 75, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, at Baptist Health Springhill in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

James was born to Moses Scott Franklin and Callie Cravens Franklin on April 9, 1951, in De Queen, Arkansas. He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant for 8 years. He then went on to be a truck driver for Tyson. James enjoyed watching tv, being on his cell phone, playing cards and chess.

James was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Calvin G. Franklin, Leon Franklin, Joe Franklin, Baby Ree Franklin.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a brother, Charles Ray Franklin of San Diego, California; nieces and nephews, Kathy Taylor, Heleena Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Steve Franklin, Sr., Gail Franklin, Kevin Franklin, Shawn Franklin, Steve Franklin, Jr., Tracy Moore(Dobie), Chris Moore(Chassity), Brandon Moore(Lindsey), Nick Moore(Dakota), Candi, Nicole, Carla Williams(Anthony), Courtney Woods, Reginald Works, Michael Davis(Crystal), Reginald Russell(Trina); his caregiver and cousin, Elmyra Brown; cousins, Elizabeth Russell, Warren Davis(Joetta), Greg, Candis, Christina, Matthew, Craig Clardy, CJ, Jada, Patricia Brown, Rhonda Brown Tucker, Gloria Caldwell, Bessie Brown, Charlotte Sain, Don Bell, Donnie Bennett, Skip Bell, Steve Bell, Theo Bell, Ann Bell, Billy Ray Bell, Bonnie Bell, Edward Bell, Johnny Nix and family; along with a number of great nieces and nephews, other cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. James Franklin will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reginald Russell and Rev. Larry Clardy officiating, cremation will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
