Mr. James B. Chandler
Mr. James B. Chandler, age 90, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, December 4, 2020, at his home.

James B. was born to Curtis Chandler, Sr. and Bonnie Taylor Chandler on December 17, 1929 in Horatio, Arkansas. He married Thelma Lorene Lawley on June 5, 1948 in Port, Oklahoma, and to this union, three children were born. James B. and Thelma shared 57 loving years until her passing in 2005. On January 7, 2011, he married Annie Belle "Ann" Whitley in De Queen. James B. and Ann shared many loving years. James B. worked many years for Weyerhaeuser Company at the Treating Plant in De Queen. He worked as a mechanic, retiring in the early 1990s. He attended church at the Horatio First Assembly of God where he had been a 64 year member. He enjoyed fishing, cooking fish, gardening, and going to church, but more than anything, he cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

James B. was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Thelma Chandler; one son, Darrell Chandler; one grandson, Scott Corey Young; four brothers, Curtis Chandler, Jr., Jimmy Dale Chandler, William Dub Chandler and J.D. Chandler; and one sister, Yvonne Carpenter.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Ann Chandler of De Queen; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronny and Beverly Chandler of Horatio; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Sam Young of De Queen; one daughter-in-law, Kay Chandler of Horatio; Ann's children, David and Jami Blackwell of Gillham, Kathy and John Phillips of Fayetteville, and Donna and Rick Reid of New Braunfels, Texas; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Blake and Katie Chandler, Misty and Skipper Ward, Stacy and Coy Williamson, Mike and Sharon Chandler, Curtis and Tosha Chandler, Clint and Lauren Young, and Brent and Lacey Young; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorene Dlugonski and husband Eddie of Sentinel, Oklahoma, and Bonnie Sue Powell of Stigler, Oklahoma; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. James B. Chandler will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. John Gutierres and Doug Akin officiating. Burial will follow at the Horatio Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M., until service time, Sunday, at the funeral home.
