Mrs. Irma Sue Jacobs Wood was the youngest of ten children born to A. C. "Buck" and Virdie Bryant Jacobs. Irma was born on April 23, 1941 in Bethel, Oklahoma, and passed from this life on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in Denton, Texas, after having attained the age of 79 years, 11 months, and 6 days.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, worked in Leather Goods and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Wood; her brothers, Austin Jacobs, Baustin Jacobs, George Thomas Jacobs, Hubert Jacobs, Marion Jacobs, and J. D. Jacobs; infant sister, Virdie Jo Jacobs, and Birdie Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a son Eldon Marshall and his girlfriend Misty Rickard of Bowie, Texas; a daughter, Virdie Reichel of Duncan, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Brian McClain, Brittani Marshall, Shelby Marshall, Celest Rickard, Zane Rickard, and Tristan Rickard; a great-grandchild, Christine Richard; a brother, M. C. Jacobs of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as, other family members and a host of friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Irma Wood will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Wickes, Arkansas, with Bobby Tatum, Minister officiating.
