Mr. Hershel Ray Brewer, affectionately known as "Red" to his family and friends, age 85, passed from this life on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the home of his son in Horatio, Arkansas.

He was born to Hershel Ray Brewer, Sr. and Julia Marie Green Brewer in Horatio, Arkansas, on February 13, 1940.  Red served his country with the Army National Guard. He retired from the Ash Grove Cement Plant in Maintenance.  Red was an active member of the Williamson Community Church in Horatio, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, especially coon hunting, his beloved dogs, but his best time spent was with his family.

Red was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patsy Poole Brewer, a son, Kevin Brewer, and a brother, Olin Gene Brewer.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Sheila Lear of Horatio: two sons and a daughter-in-law,Joey and Kerstin Brewer, and Tim Brewer all of Horatio; six grandchildren, Jarrett Brewer and his wife, Katelynn Brewer of Horatio, Beth Brewer and Tino Salazar of De Queen, Colby Brewer and his wife, Liz of Gillham, Arkansas, Chelsa Phillips and her husband, Shawn of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Waylon Breweer and his wife, Keisha of Boles, Arkansas, and Derek Britt of San Diego, California; ten great-grandchildren,Jaylee, Willie, Waylon, Wrett, Cole, Mia, Olivia, Eden, little Waylon, and Brianna; one great-great-grandchild, Fred George, Jr.; two sisters, Lena Ruth and Pam, nieces, nephews, other family members and host of friends.
