Ms. Gwendolyn Lynette Powell Bell, age 60, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Sevier County Medical Center.

She was born to Otis James Powell and Patricia Ann Powell on August 10, 1966. Gwen was a member of Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed flowers, listening to music, and her greatest joy was taking care of her two boys.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Otis Powell, Jr., maternal grandparents, Beatrice and John Boyles, and her paternal grandparents, Inez and Pete Powell.

Gwen leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, Kevin Bell, Jr. “KJ” and Trevante Brewer both of De Queen; four sisters, Sandra and Ronnie Anderson of De Queen, Gabbi Powell of Dallas, Texas, Viola Phillips of Waukegan, Illinois and Naudi Powell of De Queen; four brothers, Jimmy Johnson of De Queen, David Phillips of Waukegan, Illinois, Justin and Carly Powell of Horatio, Arkansas and Cory Powell of Houston, Texas; along with a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ms. Gwen Bell will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ with Pastor Carlton Malvin officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 4, 2026, in the funeral home chapel.
