Mr. Glen Wilder
Mr. Glen Dale Wilder, age 76, resident of Amity, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at his home.
Glen was born to the union of Russell Warner and Nellie Edith Newton Wilder on June 16, 1947, in Clark County, Arkansas. He attended school in Rosboro, Arkansas, and later joined the Armed Forces. Glen worked his career as a Logger, working many years for himself. In April of 1976, Glen married the love of his life, Rhonda Elaine Spears, in Pike County. Glen was of the Christian faith and enjoyed watching the news and his birds, telling jokes, fishing, and being outdoors. Glen most enjoyed running his dogs, deer hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Warner Wilder and Nellie Edith Spencer; his loving wife of over forty-six years, Elaine Wilder; one son, Warner Lynn Douglas; one daughter, Jessica Elaine Miller; one sister, Shirley Anderson; and a brother, Stevie Spencer.
Glen leaves to cherish his memory three sons and their spouses, Daniel Wilder of Amity, Dusty and Angie Wilder of Amity, and Glen and Briana Wilder of Amity; eleven grandchildren and their spouses, Angeline and Brian Cargile, Robert Kolbicka, Warner Wilder, Adrianna and Brandon Qualls, Matthew Wilder, Andrew Kizer, Dylan Wilder, Tabitha Wilder, Glen Junior Wilder, II, Josie Wilder, and Winter Wilder; five great-grandchildren, Cade, Isaac, Aubrey, Maylynn, and Preston; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and April Wilder of Amity, and Jackie and Sondra Spencer of Texas; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Graveside Services for Mr. Glen Wilder will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 19, 2024, at Coker Cemetery in Rosboro, Arkansas. A time of visitation and interment will follow. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
