Mrs. Gerselta Louise Kitchens Halter, age 77, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed from this life on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Dierks, Arkansas.

She was born to Ted A. and Ima O. Coffey Kitchens on July 18, 1948, in Dierks, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Dierks High School. Gerselta was a member of the Almond Church in Gillham, and she enjoyed sports, playing games, hunting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandsons and her family. Gerselta was a generous person, she gave of her time to others without expecting anything in return.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Homer Halter; her brothers, Ted Kitchens, Jr., Tommy J. Kitchens, Raymond J. Kitchens, Henry E. Kitchens, Lavoy Kitchens, and Clois Kitchens; her sisters, Violet Richards, Wanda Chenoweth, and Majol Wheeler.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rocky and Shelly Halter of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Anthony Halter of Palm Springs, California; her beloved grandsons, Eli Halter and Micah Halter of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Truman and Susan Kitchens of Scott, Arkansas, and Cleatis and Barbara Kitchens of Lockesburg, Arkansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Laveda and Johnny Reed of Foreman, Arkansas, nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Gerselta Halter will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Burg Cemetery near Dierks, Arkansas with Bro. Steven Chenoweth and Bro.
