Mrs. Geraldine Routh
Mrs. Geraldine Bryan Routh, age 85, resident of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Monday, July 20, 2020, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital, Idabel, Oklahoma.
She was born November 13, 1934 in Broken Bow to the late Lester and Thelma Gertrude Hankins Bryan, the oldest of six children. She was a member of Oak Hill Independent Assembly of God Church and was a homemaker. She married the love of her life, Herbert Lyn Routh, on December 4, 1954 in the Chapel Hill Community of Sevier County. Geraldine enjoyed spending time at home, going to church and reading, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 55 years, Herbert Routh; a granddaughter-in-law, Holly Lacefield; two brothers-in-law, Ruel Hodges and Lemuel Key; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Bryan.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Scott Routh of De Queen and Jerry (Sharon) Routh of Lockesburg; three daughters, Gwenda (Jesse) Lacefield of Broken Bow, Brenda (Ray) Butler of Broken Bow and Nancy (Barry) Melniker of Texarkana, Texas; eight grandchildren, Chris, Bradley, Brandon, Brent, Kevin, Stephanie, Robbie and K'Leeh; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Tommy (Roma Lee) Bryan of Foreman, Gene (Queta) Bryan of Kellum, and Kenneth Bryan of Lockesburg; two sisters, Geneva Hodges of De Queen and Joan Key of De Queen; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Private Funeral Services for Mrs. Geraldine Routh will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2020, with Bro. John Hollinghead officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Ida Cemetery, De Queen, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. You may send an online sympathy message at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
