Obituary

Mrs. Gabbi Baker
Mrs. Gabrielle Marie (Pritchett) Baker, age 25 years and 16 days, a resident of Cove, Arkansas, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

She was born October 4, 1998, in Mena, Arkansas.

Gabrielle was preceded in death by her beloved Pop, Willie Pritchett; her Great-grandparents, Obie and Lois Jones and Sam and Avo Hubbard; and Uncle Andrew Walker.

She is survived by her husband of one year, Cody Dale Baker of Cove, Arkansas; her parents, Billy and Gloria Pritchett of Grannis, Arkansas; Cody's parents: Michelle and Jason Bailey and Dale and Debbie Baker all of Cove, Arkansas; one brother, Jacob Pritchett of Grannis, Arkansas; Cody's brothers David Baker and Koda Bailey both of Cove, Arkansas; grandparents: Sammy and Alice Walker and Pearl Pritchett, all of Grannis, Arkansas; aunts: Karen Walker and Jade Wiederhoeft; special friends Caleb and Kala Belknap; and a host of great-aunts, uncles, and cousins including her little buddy, Jayden Wiederhoeft. Special recognition also goes to her three dogs whom she loved dearly: Bella, Buddy, and Boudreaux.

Gabrielle, known as Gabbi by those who loved her most, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her husband, Cody. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. She loved running deer dogs with Cody and his dad, Dale. Going squirrel hunting with Pop and Jacob was one of her favorite activities growing up, even though her brother would call her Runt. She really looked up to her Bubba!  She loved going to restaurants, and never turned down an opportunity to eat out! She was notorious for ordering a large meal, getting a to-go box, and putting it in the refrigerator, but then never eating it. However, she is most notably known for her gorgeous smile and her kindness to everyone she ever met. She gave the best hugs that could melt your heart in an instant. Gabbi was a member of Kern Heights Baptist Church where she used the gifts of her smile and hugs to spread the love of Jesus.

Gabbi was the recipient of a heart transplant on May 16, 2002. Her donor was Blain Davis, son of Shane and Jennifer Davis, and brother to Logan and Ellie of Nixa, Missouri. As soon as Gabbi's blood touched Blain's heart inside her body, it started beating on its own, and Blain's gift of life gave Gabbi an additional 21 years to enjoy her journey on this earth with her family and friends. She always wanted to honor Blain's legacy by sharing her story with others and giving glory to the Lord. On Gabbi's behalf, please consider registering as an organ donor today!

Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, October 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel.
