Mr. Franklin Lawrence Irvan, age 67, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, and a former resident of Poteau, Oklahoma, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at his home. He was born to Henry Stewart and Jennie Mae Bishop Irvan in De Queen, Arkansas, on November 3, 1949. For over 18 years, he was a supervisor at Kenco Plastics, Inc., in Poteau, Oklahoma. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid Razorback fan, a proud Democrat, and enjoyed family history and genealogy. Above all he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Franklin David Irvan, a daughter, Christina Lee Dana Owens, and a brother, C.L. Irvan. He is survived by his wife, Debra Jeanette Irvan of Horatio, four daughters and sons-in-law, Misty Laverne and Francis Bruce Westebbe of Franklin, Tennessee, Coty Maria and Kevin Lane Langlois of De Queen, Hillarie Lynn Irvan of Howe, Oklahoma, and Mandy Cobb of Spiro, Oklahoma, a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Norton Wells of Prosper, Texas, eleven grandchildren, Kelli and Justin Bevis, Alexandria Owens, Christopher and Amy Wolcott, Dylan and Laken Langlois, Alissa Owens, Shayla McGlathery, Cedric Cobb, Jr., D'Angelo Cobb, Miyah Cobb, Ryon Janway, and Samuel Janway, ten great-grandchildren, Dixie Bevis, Kenslea Owens, Texana Bevis, Carson Wolcott, Abigail Wolcott, Lily Bevis, Mason Bevis, Madeline Wolcott, and Maxton Langlois, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Ouachita Regional Hospice, especially Sunni Tollett and Jocelyn Laxamana. Also, a special thank you to the Southwest Arkansas Development Council, especially Carolyn Frezell-Crussell. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 22, 2016, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at Clear Creek Cemetery later that day.
