Ms. Frances Jackson
Ms. Frances Marie Bell Jackson, age 78, resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, August 14, 2020 in the Wadley Regional Health System, Texarkana, Texas.
She was born to Sager Goliath and Hattie Ann Johnson Bell on May 17, 1942 in Lockesburg, Arkansas. She was a 1960 graduate of the Sevier County Training School in Lockesburg. She married Leroy Jackson and was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church in Lockesburg. Frances worked as a Nurse's Aide, beginning her career in 1961 in Indiana. She returned to Sevier County in 1987 working at Brookwood Nursing in De Queen and later at the Nashville Nursing Center. She had a love for cats, especially the one she named "Fuzzy." She also enjoyed piddling with things, other animals such as goats and chickens, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings, Robert Raydell Bell, Sager Bell, Jr., Clara Lee Williams, Frankie Beatrice Lewis and Adell Rogers.
She is survived by three sisters, Mavis Dean Counts of Detroit, Michigan, Callie Mae Mills of Florida, and Mary Jean Gregory of Sacramento, California; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Funeral Services for Ms. Frances Jackson will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Holly Springs Cemetery, Lockesburg, with Pastor Tommy Halsell officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
