She was born on July 30, 1942, in Independence, Kansas. When she was able, she attended church at the De Queen First Assembly of God. She enjoyed playing with her cats and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Sammy Hobson of De Queen; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sheila Ramirez of De Queen, and Sandra Shaver and her husband Joey of Lockesburg; four grandchildren, Ricky Ramirez, Summer Shaver, Selina Leon, Daniel Hernandez and Ashlyn Shaver; two greatgrandchildren, Aracely Diaz and Natalie Graham; one sister, Patricia Meador and her husband Douglas of Omaha, Nebraska; one brother; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
