Mrs. Marguerite Foster

Mrs. Floy Marguerite Foster, age 85, resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Sunday, November 3, 2019 in Little Rock.

She was born to W.G. and Francis Ethel Griffith on October 28, 1934 in Gary, Texas. She married the love of her life, Carroll L. Foster on December 25, 1953 in Gary. She was a member of the Geneva Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Marguerite was a talented Pianist and taught many children the art for more than thirty years. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of almost 60 years, Carroll Foster; four brothers, O.H., Byron, Norris and J.W. Griffith; one sister, Francis Dixon; and a daughter-in-law, Roxieann Foster.

She is survived by three sons, Keith Foster of Ripley, Mississippi, Kyle Foster and his wife Holly of Gary, Texas and Kevin Foster of De Queen; one daughter, Karol René Reed and her husband Vernon of Malvern; sixteen grandchildren, Jarred, Jason, Adam, Steven Keith, Linda, Dana, Tyler, Zack, Tabitha, Megan, Nathan, Bryan, Clay, Aaron, David and Christopher; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one brother, Cecil Griffith and his wife Tommi of Gary, Texas; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Marguerite Foster will be held at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, November 9, 2019 in the Geneva Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Foster and Bro. Travis Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ida Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
