Mrs. Eva Morris

Mrs. Eva Lenora Everett Morris, age 98, resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Bear Creek Healthcare in De Queen.

Eva was born to Seth Henkley and Lula Jane Wright Everett on June 20, 1922 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Leo B. (Bill) Morris, on October 28, 1939 in De Queen. Eva retired from Baldwin's in De Queen after 14 years of service and was a Homemaker. She and Bill were members of Dilworth Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing, canning, and gardening, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of over 57 years, Bill Morris; one son-in-law, Franklin Chandler; one grandson, David Chandler; three brothers, Vance Everett, Curtis Everett and Walter Everett; and one sister, Carmen Caldwell.

Eva leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters and a son-in-law, Jane Chandler of Horatio and Leoda and Oliver Matthews of Horatio; four grandchildren, Eugene Chandler of Lockesburg, Randy Chandler of Horatio, Guy Matthews of Texarkana and Sandra Sims of West Fork, Arkansas; eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Eva Morris will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Millwee Cemetery, Horatio, with John Hickel officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. General viewing will be from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.
