Mr. Edwin Varnell "Mouse" Frachiseur, age 79, a resident of Grannis, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Mr. Frachiseur, the son of James Oscar and Illfay Coffey Frachiseur, was born in De Queen, Arkansas on November 27, 1944.  He was a 1962 graduate of Gillham High School, and a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army.  He married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Chisum in Hooks, Texas on December 4, 1964.  To this union two sons were born.  Mouse retired from Wickes School District serving in maintenance, as well as a farmer and rancher.  He was an active member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, sports, but above, Mouse was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Olton Frachiseur, a brother-in-law, Dr. Jim Fain, and a niece, Patricia Fain.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 59 years, Shirley Frachiseur of Grannis, Arkansas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Karri Frachiseur of Grannis, Arkansas, and John and Tonya Frachiseur of New Boston, Texas; his grandchildren and their spouses, Austin and Haylie Frachiseur; Jacob and Savannah Grothe; Lexie Frachiseur; and Dakota Frachiseur; his great-grandchildren, Wyatt Frachiseur and Greyson Grothe.  He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Orval and Barbara Frachiseur of Grannis; a sister, Oneda Fain of Grannis, and three sisters-in-law, Inez Frachiseur; Virginia Hooks, and Dean Britton, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Edwin "Mouse" Frachiseur will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in the Holly Grove Baptist Church with Bro. John Gilbert and Bro. George Frachiseur officiating.  Burial will follow in the Holly Grove Cemetery, Grannis, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Monday, December 11, 2023, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.  Services entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
