Mrs. Eileen Womack
Mrs. Edith Eileen Wildey Womack, age 95, resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Dierks Health and Rehab.
She was born to Calvin Leo and Edna Izuria Beekman Wildey on August 20, 1924 in Supulpa, Oklahoma. She attened school at King and Gillham and received her LPN license from Cossatot Vo-Tech in Nashville. She married the love of her life, Carl Womack, Sr. on November 15, 1941 in De Queen. She worked at the Dickinson Hospital in De Queen, De Queen General Hospital and at Ridgeview Nursing Home in De Queen. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in De Queen and enjoyed fishing, reading and cooking, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Carl F. Womack, Sr.; one son, Carl F. Womack, Jr.; two grandsons, Don M. King and Carl L. Peterson; three brothers, Melvin, Bill and Glen Wildey; and two sisters, Oletha Wildey and Violet Womack.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Barbara Vickery of De Queen; four grandchildren, Michael Wommack of Houston, Trey Wommack of De Queen, Carla Cox and her husband Travis of De Queen and Allan Peterson and his wife Marsha of De Queen; seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jaydon, Cody, Kendall, Keshia, Lacey and Alex; five great-great-grandchildren, Dayne, Summer, Pressley, Shawnix and Blaine; as well as, nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Avon Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
