Mrs. Doris McWaters
Mrs. Doris Lee Owen McWaters, age 81, of Horatio, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at her home.

She was born September 10, 1939 in Shady Point, Oklahoma to the union of Jesse Robert Andrew and Dessie Laguerty Taylor Owen. Doris worked in housekeeping, caring for homes and apartments. She enjoyed fishing, camping, puzzles, and playing and watching softball. She once played as catcher for a co-ed team. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Dessie Owen; her husbands, David Bland, and Wayne McWaters; her twin sister, Lois Baxter; and two brothers, Edward Owen and Albert Owen.

Doris leaves to cherish her loving memory, five children, Danna Sue (Brian) McAllister of Fort Smith, Arkansas, David Ray Bland of Lincoln, Arkansas, Debra Jeanette Irvan of Horatio, Arkansas, Linda Lois Bland of Shady Point, Oklahoma, and Bobby Don Bland of Shady Point, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren, and number twenty-three due in May; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jesse Owen of Shady Point, Oklahoma; as well as, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
