Obituary

Mrs. Doris Faye Trimble Brock, age 97, a De Queen, Arkansas resident, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Little River Memorial Hospital in Ashdown, Arkansas.

Doris was one of four children born to Faye DeWitt and Myrtle Jane Meadows Trimble.  She was born on July 1, 1927, in Dallas, Texas.  She married Charles William "Bill" Brock in Dallas, Texas, on April 18, 1948, and three children were born to this marriage.  She loved genealogy, sewing children's clothing, and winning second place in the Texas State Fair.  She sang with a gospel group on WRR Radio in Dallas, Texas, was an avid reader, an Andy Griffith fan, and an active member of the De Queen Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Bill, a son, Charles Wynn Brock, a grandson, Chris Brock, and her siblings, Euwannah Hooker and Duane Trimble.

Doris leaves to cherish her memory two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Roy Gardner of Grand Prairie, Texas, Terriann and Eddie Phillips of De Queen; five grandchildren, Aaron Gardner of Hurst, Texas, Casey Newsome of Midlothian, Texas, Cory Phillips of De Queen, Kirra Phillips of Texarkana, Texas, and Alicia Brock of Dallas, Texas; fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.; one brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Carol Trimble of Cleburne, Texas; several nieces and nephews, two special friends, Betty Smith and Patsy Stemple.

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Brock will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 17, 2024, in the De Queen Church of Christ with Toney Stowers, Minister officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the church, burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, De Queen.
