Obituary

Mr. Don Gaylord
Mr. Donald Warren Gaylord, age 93, resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at his home.

Don, as he was known to family and friends, was born the first of six children to Ottis and Lillian Kitterman Gaylord on May 2, 1930, in Garden City, Kansas. Don attended school in Garden City, before enlisting with the United States Navy. Don faithfully served four years, serving overseas during the Korean Conflict. In 1953, Don married the love of his life, Marilyn Ann David, in California, and to this union, four sons were born. Don later returned to Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, California, attending night classes to be able to work on rocket engines for NASA. He was a member of the American Legion, National Rifle Association, and Good Sam's Trailer Clubs in California and Arkansas for more than forty years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and working on old cars. More than anything, Don cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wives, Marilyn Gaylord, Patricia Gaylord, and Virginia Gaylord; one son, Craig Gaylord; two grandchildren, Cynthia Loraine Conner and Lisa Lynn Hall; one brother, Johnny Gaylord; and two sisters, Caroll Whitt and Kay Gaylord.
