Mr. Don R. Campbell, age 88, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, December 6, 2024, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas, surrounded by his family.  He was the youngest of nine children born to Alvin Bluford and Ellie Ida Bailey Campbell.  Don was born on August 22, 1936, in Horatio, Arkansas.  Soon after graduating from Horatio High School, he married the love of his life, Glenda Marie Watson, and they spent 65 wonderful years together.  He was a millwright and electrician by trade, retiring from Georgia Pacific. After retiring, he was employed with Horatio School System.

Don was a member of Horatio Assembly of God Church.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, saw milling, working, he was an antique auto collector and could absolutely fix anything.  His best spent time was with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Justin Campbell; and his siblings, Ruth Campbell Reeves, Gladis Campbell Maw, Bluford Campbell, John Harvey (J. H.) Campbell, James (Jim) Campbell, Perry Campbell, and June Campbell Bell.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Glenda Watson Campbell of Horatio; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Sharon and Jay Bunyard of De Queen; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason DeWayne and Tina Campbell of Honey Grove, Texas; six grandchildren, Jacob Bunyard, Jack Bunyard both of De Queen.

Megan Campbell, Cameron Norwood, Darren Norwood, and Hayden Norwood all of Honey Grove, Texas; a sister, Dorothy Campbell Key of Eugene, Oregon, several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Don Campbell will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, December 13, 2024, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Gutierres officiating.  Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery.
