Mr. Dewon Edward Flowers, Sr, age 73, a resident of De Queen, passed from this life peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Idabel, Oklahoma on July 27, 1951, the son of Edward Lloyd and Tilda Sevinia Goodman Flowers.  He was a retired supervisor with Pilgrims Pride.  He enjoyed family time, his kids and grandkids.  He had nicknames for all the grandkids and great grandkids.  He loved dancing, playing pool, living life to the fullest and being a great Dad and Poppa, and making sure everyone was on time to work.

Dewon was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Annette Flowers; two brothers, Wayland Flowers and Robert Flowers; three sisters, Neva Lois Storey, Alice Dean McMahon, and Patricia Elaine Flowers.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Dorine Flowers of De Queen; two sons, Dewon Edward Flowers, Jr. of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Joseph Dewayne Flowers of Van Buren, Arkansas; Shawnda Renea Flowers Helms of De Queen, Maria Audrey Landereth of Haworth, Oklahoma; two brothers, J. C. Flowers of Holly Creek, Oklahoma and Carl Flowers of Idabel, Oklahoma; one sister, Virgina Flowers Campbell and her husband, Joe of Wright City, Oklahoma;  three special grandchildren Austin Helms, Dakota Helms and Savanna Helms of De Queen; ten additional grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday May 17, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at The Faith and Deliverance Center with Bishop Grant officiating.
