Mr. Delton Gene Stringfellow, age 80, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his home.  He was born to I.C. and Thelma Leona Sage Stringfellow in De Queen, Arkansas on May 17, 1938.

He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U. S. Army for 24 years.  After his retirement from the military, he worked construction, carpentry, and was a repairman.  He was a member of the Horatio Church of Christ, and enjoyed fishing, leatherwork, and was a supporter of 4H.  He was the videographer for the Horatio Lions for 20 years. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nell Barnes; and a brother, Robert Jewell Stringfellow.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Cam and Karen Stringfellow of Horatio, Jay and Donna Stringfellow of Wade, North Carolina, and Monte and Dana Stringfellow of Horatio; his wife of 48 years, Joann Stringfellow of Horatio; eight grandchildren, Crystal Thornton, Amber Price, Tiffany Stringfellow, Kayla Stringfellow, Ethan Stringfellow, Wyatt Stringfellow, Cody Stinnett, and Meagan Blanton; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Juanita and Ralph Staggs of Horatio, and Loretta Reid of Horatio; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
