Mr. Deloyie Boone
Mr. Deloyie Boone, age 85, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Bear Creek Healthcare, De Queen.
Deloyie was the youngest of six children born to William Frank and Pearl Everett Boone on February 22, 1935 in Clebit, Oklahoma. He was a 1953 graduate of Dierks High School. He married Bobbie Jean Ayers on March 7, 1975 in Idabel, Oklahoma. He and Bobbie owned and operated De's in Horatio and later in 1981, they opened De's Palace in De Queen. Deloyie worked many years for De Queen and Eastern/Texas, Oklahoma and Eastern Railroad, retiring as Train Master. He was a member of De Queen First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of over 40 years, Bobbie Boone; one brother, Abe Boone; and four sisters, Nadine Hill, Ruby Upton, Polly Boone and Ruth Griffin.
Deloyie leaves to cherish his memory, four daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy and Kenneth Gabbard of De Queen, Patti Boone of De Queen, Tory Shipley of Broken Bow, and Sheryl Lane of De Queen; one son, Mark Everitt of Crossroads; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Chase Gabbard, Dana Kennedy, Bradley and Kaytlon Everitt, Amanda and Clark Whitfield, David Russell, Jason and Kayla Russell, and Chad and Courtney Klitz; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Mabel Boone of Rogers, Mary and Travis Everitt of Eustace, Texas, and Nola Fant of Texas; one brother-in-law, Sonny Ayers of Lockesburg; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Deloyie Boone will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Redmen Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. Adam Key officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. General viewing will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home. The use of a face mask or covering will be required during your time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Humane Society of Sevier County, P.O. Box 872, De Queen, or the Sevier County Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 746, De Queen, in Mr. Deloyie Boone's memory.
