Mrs. Dee Ann DuBose Smith Elliott, age 86, a resident of De Queen, passed away from this life, Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born to Arthur Preston and Millie Mae Carroll DuBose in San Antonio, Texas, on January 25, 1938.  She was a registered nurse and worked for the De Queen Medical Center for more than 20 years. She was an active member of the De Queen Church of Christ and enjoyed traveling, sewing/quilting, was an avid reader, but her best time was spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and fellowshipping at the De Queen Senior Citizens Center.

Dee Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Melvin Smith in 2000, and L. P. Elliott in 2008, her siblings, Maxine McCullough, Shirley Bugler, Carolyn Smith, Warren Preston DuBose, and David Duane DuBose, a great-grandchild, Hiedi J. Smith, and a loving companion Mack Hibbs.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons and daughters-in-law, Preston and Jolene Smith of De Queen, and Justin Dean and Missy Smith of Dierks, Arkansas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dalynne and Kevin Randolph of Hatfield, Arkansas, Sherie and Jack Mabry of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Linda and Alan Roden of De Queen; thirteen grandchildren, Faith Rose-Ann and her husband, Chris Baker, Carrie Alice and her husband, Chaz Welch, Jansen Mabry, Janelle and her husband, Dale Pollard, Carly and her husband, Ronnie Bennett, Jr., Cody and his wife, Jess Roden, Will and his spouse, Charlie Smith, Wes and his wife, Paige Smith, Vanessa Smith, Quinton and his wife, Charli Smith, Triston Smith, Dillon and his wife, Nicole Sharp,  Hanna and her husband, Tyler Honeycutt; sixteen great-grandchildren, Amelia, Colin, Finn, Jude, Trey, Gracie, Tucker, Haven, Lyniya, Xavier, Christian, Alora, Kyler, Faithlynn, Slate, and Hazel; two brothers, Carroll Lee "Biddy" DuBose of Ruidoso, New Mexico, and George Willis "Nick" DuBose of Devine, Texas, and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Dee Ann Elliott will be held at 3:00 P.M., on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the De Queen Church of Christ with Tony Stowers, Minister and Greg Revels officiating.  Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, De Queen, Arkansas.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel.  Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.   You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
