Mrs. Dean Hill

Mrs. Alma Dean Hays Hill, age 88, a resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Monday, April 14, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Fate and Lila Chandler Hays on April 10, 1937, in Hiram, Arkansas.  She was retired from the Jacksonville Independent School District, where she served as secretary.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, live music, dancing, but most of all, her kids and grandkids.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert "Ray"  Hill, a brother, Billy Gene Hays, and a sister, Wanda Sue Lannie.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Keven and Joyce Hill of De Queen; and Rocky Hill of Mena; four grandchildren, Carmen Santiago and her husband, Carlos of Centerton, Arkansas, Samantha Hill of Mena, Derek Imoe of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; and Latanya Holmes of De Queen, four great-grandchildren, Anna, Maddie, Carson, and S. J. and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins  that were all very special to her, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen, Arkansas.   Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Dean Hill will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Magness Cemetery, Wilburn, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Heber Springs, Arkansas.
