Obituary

Ms. Davida Cooper

Ms. Davida Lynn Cooper, age 38, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Davida was born January 30, 1982 in Dumas, Texas to Robert Mann and Estella Martinez Cooper, the first of two children. She was a 2000 graduate of Dumas High School. Davida was well known in our community and beyond from her work at Country Girls Café and Walmart. She was most proud of her opportunities with First Baptist Church De Queen. She touched countless lives around De Queen and surrounding communities during her time as Pre-K teacher of Wee Center and later as Director of Children's Ministry. Davida will be remembered most by her infectious smile, selfless character and loving personality. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts and was a talented artist, but most of all, she cherished her time spent with the church, youth, her family and friends.

Davida was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arcenio and Juanita Martinez; her paternal grandfather, Robert (Bob) Cooper; two uncles, Abel Luna, Jr. and David Martinez; and one aunt, Amelia Rodriguez.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one daughter, Brielle Laine Cooper of De Queen, Arkansas; her parents, Robert and Estella Cooper of De Queen, Arkansas; one brother, Bobby David Cooper of Fort Polk, Louisiana; paternal grandmother, Lucy Cooper of De Queen, Arkansas; aunts, uncles, cousins, the King Family and other friends, too numerous to list.

Memorial Services for Ms. Davida Cooper will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at First Baptist Church De Queen with Bros. Josh Herweck and Micah Martin officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., tonight, at First Baptist Church. You may send an online sympathy message at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
