Obituary

DAVID BOYLES was born on June 9, 1949 in Horatio, AR to Joe Boyles, Sr. and Luellar Boyles.

DAVID confessed Christ at an early age, and attended Sevier County High School in Lockesburg, AR. He later relocated to Los Angeles, CA where he was employed by Lockheed Martin. He had a kind heart and dedicated his life to family and friends.

DAVID was preceded in death by his parents Joe Boyles, Sr., Luellar Boyles, brothers Johnnie White, Joe Boyles, Jr., sisters Janice Boyles, and Elma Jane Kennon.

DAVID leaves to cherish his memories his sisters Mary Smith, Bettye Boyles and Marcia Boyles of DeQueen, AR, Frankie Motley of Maple Hts. OH, and Earlie McRoyal of Grand Prairie, TX.

Known to those who loved him as David, Uncle David or Arkansas Dave, David was full of life! He had a vibrant personality that naturally drew others to him. He shared a special bond with all of his siblings. Even though they lived thousands of miles apart and sometimes didn't see each other for years, they stayed connected, and when they did see each other, it was if they had never been apart! From weekly phone calls to holiday visits, David could always be counted on to lend a helping hand whenever needed. His siblings had always been drawn to his high-spiritedness and witty sense of humor. To them, he was a real breath of fresh air. To his nieces and nephews, he was a confidant, friend, and the family comedian. The first question asked prior to each holiday was, "Is Uncle David coming home?" He was known for his colorful stories (or "tall tales" as Big Mama used to say)! Were the stories true? It didn't matter. It was all about his delivery and the certainty that by the end, everyone would be on the floor laughing!

One of David's last wishes was to be remembered as a good person who always tried to help others. He truly lived his life to the fullest and used his experiences as a means for personal growth, while inspiring others to push their boundaries mentally, spirituality, and intellectually for the betterment of themselves and society as a whole. From awaited summers to holiday visits, his legacy will forever be imprinted and cherished by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
