Ms. Danita Dorsey
Ms. Danita Lynn Dorsey, age 66, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Ashdown, Arkansas.

Danita was born one of eight children to the union of Claude Thomas and Babe Ruth Chandler Dorsey on February 25, 1955, in Los Angeles County, California. Danita was a member of the Horatio First Assembly of God Church and, for many years, attended the Sevier County Development Center. She enjoyed puzzle books, crossword puzzles, shelling peas and pecans, and raking leaves. Although she never learned to ride a bicycle, Danita always enjoyed pushing her siblings bicycles up and down the street or around the block. Danita cherished the time spent with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and her favorite pup – Bear Bear.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ruth Dorsey; and two sisters, Diane Holden and Claudette Taylor.

Danita leaves to cherish her loving memory, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Dorsey of De Queen, Billy and Donna Dorsey of Haworth, and Mark and Robin Dorsey of De Queen; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lana Jo and Larry Vickers of De Queen, and Tommi and Rob Smith of De Queen; a special friend, Leanora "Lee Lee" Scott; as well as her loving nieces and nephews, and her many friends and staff of the Sevier County Development Center.

Funeral Services for Ms. Danita Dorsey will be privately held with interment at Redmen Cemetery, De Queen. General viewing will be held from 11:00 A.M., to 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
