Mr. Daniel Stover
Mr. Daniel Louis Stover, age 31, resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born to Roy D. Stover and LaNora Christine Swindler on April 18, 1988 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He was a former member of the De Queen Cubs football team, was a 2006 graduate of De Queen High School and proudly served with the United States Army Reserves. Daniel joined the reserves after graduation and served with the 704 th Combat Engineers from 2008 to 2009 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Later he served two tours in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. After his discharge from the service, Daniel work for GM Motors in Mena. He was of the Baptist faith but often attended church with his father at the De Queen First Assembly of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry work and spending time with his family and friends.
As a final selfless act, the Stover family has honored Daniel's wishes to donate his useful organs to the betterment of others.
He was preceded in death by his mother; maternal grandparents, Fern and Clifford Swindler; paternal grandparents, Ollie Joe and Margie Stover; and one brother, Ricky Don Grigsby.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter; his parents, Roy and Wanda Stover of De Queen; siblings and their spouses, Richard and Ashley Stover of De Queen, Leroy and Deandra Williams of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Tonya and Angie Runnels of Sheridan, Arkansas and Derek and Tiffany Sullivan of Grannis; uncles and outlaws, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Daniel Stover will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in the De Queen First Assembly of God with Pastor Ray Reynolds, Bro. Tim Johnson and Roy Stover officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, De Queen, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday, September 16 th , at the funeral home. You may send an online sympathy message at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to help pay funeral expenses.
