Mr. Cory Wright
Mr. Cory Shawn Wright, age 50, passed from this life on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Cory was born January 4, 1972, in De Queen, Arkansas, to Charles Edward Ramsey and Cris Mayola Wright, one of three children. He was a graduate of Mineral Springs High School and later worked for Wal Mart. Cory accepted Christ at a young age and attended the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Lockesburg. As a toddler, Cory was nicknamed "Big Fish" for his love of fish sandwiches. He would have one almost every day. He enjoyed playing video games, fishing, hunting, music, and sports. He was especially fond of the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls. Cory loved writing letters and would spend hours crafting letters to send to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cris Ramsey; his grandparents, Arthur and Delores Ramsey, Niece Wright, and Lebetha Wright; and his aunt, Fannie Lee Richardson.

Cory is survived by his father, Charles Ramsey of Mineral Springs, Arkansas; his son, Corderrell Wright of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Casey Ramsey of Mineral Springs, Arkansas; sister and brother-in-law, Catrina Ramsey and Deshun Slater of Bryant, Arkansas; as well as his niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Cory Wright will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 28, 2022, at Bright Star Baptist Church in Mineral Springs, with Rev. Elroy Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Field Cemetery in Lockesburg, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Friends are welcome to come by the funeral home from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., Thursday.
