De Queen
Mr. Clarence "Yank" Vallee
Mr. Clarence Joseph Vallee, age 77, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Clarence, or "Yank", as he as known to his family and friends, was born the eighth of nine children to the union of Robert Joseph and Alice Lavidere Vallee on June 6, 1945, in Southbridge, Massachusetts. After high school, Clarence went on to complete coal trade school. He faithfully served with the United States Army National Guard until his honorable discharge. He married the love of his life, Ruby Lee Noey, on January 15, 1966, in De Queen. Clarence and Ruby are members of Geneva Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen. He worked in different capacities over the years, including time as a mule-skid logger, EMT, and in construction. Clarence and Ruby owned and operated Ruby's Alley Poultry Equipment, the Noey Flea Market, and an airplane school. Throughout his different careers, his most loved position was that of Rancher. He and Ruby raised cattle, chickens, and various other farm animals over the years. He was a Volunteer with the Cossatot Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, people-watching, all-around collecting, and was a big jokester. Clarence best spent his time with Ruby, his children, and grandchildren. Clarence never met a stranger and will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pearl Nurek; and five brothers, Emil, Albert, LeoPaul, Authur, and Raymond Vallee.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over fifty-six years, Ruby Vallee of De Queen; four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Kristy Vallee of Lockesburg, Joseph and Lori Vallee of De Queen, Michael and Abby Vallee of De Queen, and Larry Vallee; his grandchildren, Rachael, Bekah, Russell, Cade (Josie), Cooper (Hailey), Cannon, Zachary (Faith), Garrett, Walker, and Victoria; three great-grandchildren, Bradleigh, Colton, and Chase; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carol Vallee of Southbridge; one sister, Theresa Sumner of Seattle, Washington; as well as a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends, too numerous to list.
Funeral Services for Mr. Clarence Vallee will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Geneva Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Travis Lane officiating. Interment will follow at Wofford's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
