Mr. C.J. Johnson
Mr. Charles Edward Johnson, III, affectionately known as "C.J.", passed from this life on Sunday, April 24, 2022, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

C.J. began his twenty-seven year, nine month, and twenty-eight day walk on this earth on June 27, 1994, the son of Charles Edward Johnson, Jr. and Virginia Ruth Watson. He was born in Talihina, Oklahoma, and attended school in Horatio. After receiving his high school diploma, C.J. worked in different capacities including time at Pilgrim's Pride and in food service. He loved his family and friends, and enjoyed puzzle books, chilling in the A/C, sleeping, and playing with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Watson; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Otis Powell, and Charles Edward Johnson, Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Laverne and Virgil Edwards.

C.J. leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters, Victoria Watson of De Queen, Tanessa Watson of De Queen, and Akeelah "Sharetta" Johnson of Horatio; two brothers, Joseph (Summer Pond) Johnson of Horatio, and Juwayne Johnson of Horatio; his father, Charles Edward Johnson, Jr. of Horatio; his nieces and nephews, La'Nya, Nie'Chelle, Maziah, Kinley, DiVynn, and Waylon; his special aunt and uncle, Tonya and Carlos Martinez of Horatio; as well as other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. C.J. Johnson will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church, Watson, Oklahoma, with Bro. Nathan Watson officiating. Interment will follow at the Buffalo Cemetery in Watson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 6th, at the funeral home.
