Mrs. Catherine Harris
Mrs. Catherine Charles Harris, age 96, passed from this life peacefully Wednesday, June 1, 2022, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Thomas Newberry and Mary Lois Reid Charles in Ahoskie, North Carolina on May 26, 1926. She received her degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and married the love of her life, Henry Warren Harris in August of 1947. While Henry made them a living, Catherine made the living worthwhile. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, where she served on the Building Committee, and was founder the Homebound Ministry. She was an active faithful member until her health declined. She was also a member of the Homemakers Extension Club in De Queen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Henry Warren Harris in 1985, her siblings, William Charles, Frank Charles, Virginia Jones and a half sister, Antoinette Peterson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Warren Harris of De Queen, a daughter, Catherine Harris of Raleigh, North Carolina, and her grandson, Taylor Harris also of De Queen.
