Mr. Carroll Watkins
Mr. Carroll Wayne Watkins, age 73, passed from this life on Friday, March 26, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born to Dan and Mildred Watkins on September 1, 1947. He married the love of his life on June 29, 1970 and from this union two daughters and a son were born.

Carroll Wayne was a quiet, shy man who loved big. He loved God, his wife and her cooking, especially her homemade biscuits. Carroll Wayne loved his children, his grandchildren and his animals. He loved singing gospel music, reading, especially Native American history and the Bible. He loved to tell the story of the first time he saw his wife and he knew immediately that she would one day be his wife. He loved banana pudding, pocketknives, a crackling hot fire, classic cars and playing Scrabble. Most of all Carroll Wayne loved time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving grandparents, Jim and Clara Hendricks and his wonderful, loving Aunt, Merlene Hendricks Mize.

Carroll Wayne leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Joyce Watkins; his daughter Sabrina Johnson and her husband, Christopher Johnson; his son Carroll Wayne Watkins, II and his wife, Amy Watkins; his daughter, Hannah Watkins and her significant other Sean Oler; four grandchildren, Katherine and Brody Watkins and Jessica and Corbin Johnson; his brother, Barry Watkins; and his nephews, Brennan and Braxton Watkins.

Funeral Services for Mr. Carroll Wayne Watkins will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 29, 2021 at Old Center Church, Horatio, Arkansas, with Pastor Wakley officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 4-6 pm, Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the funeral home.
