Mrs. Carolyn "Carol" Mitchell
Mrs. Carolyn Ann House Mitchell, age 85, resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed away Friday morning, October 21, 2022, at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas.

Carolyn was born February 7, 1937, in De Queen, Arkansas, to Cecil Ross and Leo Marie King House, one of four children. She was a graduate of a California high school and later worked as a Pharmacy Technician and at the De Queen Medical Center. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Arthur Nelson Mitchell, in California. To this union, two sons were born. Carolyn formerly attended Geneva Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed genealogy, being "Gigi" to her loving grandchildren, and visiting with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of forty-two years, Arthur Mitchell; her step-father, Ernest Flippo; one brother, Kenneth R. House; and two sisters, Opal Lewis and Jo Williamson.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory, two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Gloria Mitchell of New Boston, and Richard and Betty Mitchell of Gillham; six grandchildren, Denielle Contreras of Horatio, Adam Mitchell and Aaron Mitchell both of Sylva, North Carolina, Magan Mitchell of Dallas, Chasidy Click of Winthrop, and Carrie Shrader of Texarkana; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Carolyn Mitchell will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
