Miss Carolyn Ann Coleman
Miss Carolyn, lovingly known as Aunt Carolyn to her family, was born on November 14, 1943, and passed from this life on March 8th, 2022, at the age of 78. She grew up in Foreman, Arkansas, and graduated from Foreman High School. She began her career in construction in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was the first woman in the state of Texas to do estimations for commercial contractors.

Carolyn later returned home to Little River County to care for her parents and began a career as the assistant to the then Little River County Judge, Clyde Wright. After years of service and the unexpected passing of Judge Wright, she was unanimously voted to serve as Little River County Judge for the remainder of his term. Carolyn was the first sitting female judge in Little River County and the third in the state of Arkansas. Serving as Judge Coleman was the highlight of her career.

She had a great love and deep devotion for her family. Also, for our country, the county, and people she served. She was an avid reader and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilton in Wilton, Arkansas. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and attend sporting events for numerous nieces and nephews. She was known as a one person cheering section at a ballgame or rodeo!

She is preceded in death by her mother, Verna Mauldin Coleman; father, Ledford Lawrence Coleman; brother, Jack Coleman; and sister, Sue Coleman Hawkins.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one sister-in-law, Lynn Coleman; three nieces, Virginia Hawkins Rausch, Belinda Coleman Thomas, and Jackie Coleman Wren; two nephews, Richard Coleman, and Chris Coleman; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

Carolyn will be dearly missed by both family and friends. She leaves a legacy of service, kindness, love, selflessness, and a deep faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Memorial Services for Carolyn will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Wilton First Baptist Church, Wilton, Arkansas. Bro. Chris Clayton will officiate.
