Mr. Buck Todd Bailey, age 67, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born to George Buster and Eula Elizabeth Davis Bailey in De Queen, Arkansas, on April 26, 1957.  Buck dedicated approximately 40 years as a law enforcement officer.  Buck retired from the Polk County Sheriff's office in 2010.  He began his career with the De Queen Police Department.  He also worked for the Ashdown Police Department, Arkansas DOT/Highway Police, Mena Police Department, and then the Polk County Sheriff's Office for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, ham radios, hunting, playing dominos, camping, riding 4-wheelers, jeeping, listening to music, spending time on the lake, telling war stories, weekly family movie nights, but his best spent time was with his family and friends.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 32 years, Deborah Bailey.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters and sons-in-law, Janelle and Richard Abernathy of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, Kimberly and Travis May of Mena, Arkansas, and Brittany and Josh Dyer of Wickes, Arkansas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brandon and Kate Bailey of Wickes, Arkansas, and Tanner and Cheyenne Bailey of Westchester, Ohio; his grandchildren, Brandi and Brandon Phillips, Brooke and Bailey Eastep, Kody Bailey, Brody Bailey, Jakob Davis, Jade Bailey, Easton May, Braxdon Bailey, Stryker Bailey, Bryler Bailey, Kypton Dyer, Hudson Dyer, Kynzli Dyer, Jozelynn Dyer, Austin May, and John May; and one great-grandchild, Emerie Eastep, his life long friends of mention, Terry Capehart, Bo Hayes, Tommy Stueart, Mike Oglesby, Laura Williamson, Mike Godfrey, Kesterson Family, Steve Sederwall, Andy Riner, Randy Jewell, Scott Sawyer, Officers of the Polk County Sheriff's Department, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, as well as a host of friends, too numerous to mention,

Memorial services for Mr. Bailey will be held on February 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Remodeled Church 170 Frachiseur Road Grannis, Arkansas.
