Mrs. Brenda Faye Folks McKamie, age 76, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born to Frank Edwin and Verda Lee Williams Folks on August 12, 1949, in Springhill, Louisiana. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Minden Medical Center for many years in Minden, Louisiana. Brenda was a member of the De Queen First Assembly of God. She enjoyed sewing, reading, working in her flower beds, and baking, but her greatest love was being a nurse and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her ten siblings, Ray, Quida, Buddy, Don, Bobby, Ann, Cecil, Jimmy, Jerry, and Gary.

Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two daughters and son-in-law, Terri and Keith Alexis of El Dorado, Arkansas, Michelle Hubbard of Haynesville, Louisiana; two sons, Clint Giddens of West Monroe, Louisiana, Travis and Pamela McKamie of De Queen, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Chanda(Brad), Jamin(Valerie), Alisha, Curtis(Sarah), Matthew(Caroline), Jessica, Lily, Lucy, Landry, Kendal, Beckett, Seth, Kelsey, Isaac, Joshua, and Adeline; numerous great-grandchildren; her siblings, Larry Folks and Francis Mansfield of Florida; along with a host of friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. McKamie will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Spring Branch Cemetery in Taylor, Arkansas with Pastor Michael Howell officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, June 8, 2026 at the funeral home.
