Mr. Gerald Walker
Mr. Bobby Gerald Walker, age 79, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Walker was born one of two sons to the union of Bascom and Pauline Davis Walker on April 30, 1942, in Smithville, Oklahoma. He graduated high school in Plunketville, Oklahoma and went on to obtain his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He married the love of his life, Betty Louise Roberts, on August 17, 1962, in Mena, Arkansas. At the age of twenty, he began his teaching career in Montana. After his time in Montana, Gerald worked in different capacities of education including some time as Principal. He completed his education career as a fourth-grade educator in Cove, Arkansas, retiring in 1994. After retirement, he kept busy around the community and enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, and attending Bluegrass festivals. He was a member of the De Queen Church of Christ and cherished the time spent with Betty, their son, and grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bascom and Pauline Walker, and his brother, Danny Walker.

Gerald leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 59 years, Betty Walker of De Queen; his son and daughter-in-law, Randy D. Walker, M.D., and wife Angie Walker of De Queen; his beloved grandson, Jackson Walker of De Queen; as well as other relatives, and a host of friends.

Graveside Services for Mr. Gerald Walker will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Six Mile Cemetery in Hatfield, Arkansas. Minister Bobby Tatum will officiate.
