Mrs. Betty Lee Zanzeberg Golden, age 96, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Bear Creek Healthcare in De Queen.

She was born to Issac Nola and Ruth Lee Litchlyter Zanzeberg in Grannis, Arkansas, on July 24, 1929. She married the love of her life, Charles Henry Golden, on June 8, 1946. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grannis, Arkansas. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed playing music, shopping, traveling, and camping.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Golden, her infant brother, Jackie Travis Zanzeberg, and brother Joe Zanzeberg.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter and son-in-law, Retta Charlene and Lynn Smith of Grannis, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn and David Higgins of Grannis, Arkansas; one grandson, Shilo Lynn and Jodie Smith of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Blake Smith, Blayne Smith, and Beckett Smith of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; along with nieces, nephews, and many many friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Golden will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Grannis, Arkansas with Bro. Jerry Taylor and Bro. Billy Pritchett officiating. Burial will follow in Mineral Cemetery in Gillham, Arkansas under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. Visitation will be held Monday, August 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel.
