Mrs. Bea Smith
Mrs. Beatrice C. Smith, affectionately known as Bea, age 80, of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas.

Bea was born to Joseph Daniel and Mamie Elizabeth Murphy Clinton on May 12, 1942, in Hochatown, Oklahoma. She was a 1960 graduate of Eagletown High School and worked many years in Retail Sales for Piggly Wiggly and Lewis' in De Queen. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Elmer Smith, Jr., on August 3, 1968, in Elmira, New York. She and Kenny were faithful members of the First Baptist Church in De Queen. She enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, gardening, her flowers, watching the NBA, mowing, and yardwork. She was a professional squirrel shooter, only hitting her bird feeders a few times. Bea best spent her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of over forty-seven years, Kenny Smith; and her siblings.

Bea leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter and son-in-law, Tanni and Mike Shipp of Texarkana, Texas; two granddaughters and their spouses, Jennifer and Michael Westbrook of Atlanta, Texas, and Jessica and Earl Jenkins, III of Hooks, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Bailey Skye, Kassie Jo, Kenzie, and Earl Jenkins, IV; as well as one brother, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Bea Smith will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in De Queen. Junior Ochoa will officiate. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
