Mr. Barry "Rocky" Gates
Mr. Barry Mack "Rocky" Gates, age 75, of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, in the Shreveport, Louisiana Veterans Hospital.

Rocky was born on April 05, 1947, to Mack and Carroll Russell Gates in Hemet, California.

He was a graduate of De Queen High School and was in the Army National Guard from 1968 to 1972, then later pursued various passions, ultimately finding joy on his small farm in De Queen. Rocky enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, he enjoyed nature and history; but most especially loved gathering with family and friends.

Rocky is survived by his wife, Kazuko Gates of De Queen; stepdaughter, Lisa Hall of Gulfport, Mississippi; two granddaughters, Danielle Caveness of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Adesyn Hall, of Gulfport, Mississippi; one brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Janice Gates of De Queen, Arkansas; his niece, Karyn Gates, and nephew Clayton J (CJ) Gates, both from Fayetteville, Arkansas; as well as a vast number of loving friends.

Rocky requested no official Funeral Services, only wishing his family and friends pause and take a moment to remember their favorite memory of him.
