Mrs. Barbara Harrison
Mrs. Barbara Sue Wimpee Harrison, 67, of Horatio, departed this earth on July 22, 2023, at her daughter's home in Benton, Arkansas, from unforeseen complications following a serious automobile accident in March.

Barbara was born on December 31, 1955, in De Queen, Arkansas to Otha and Lois Rhodes Wimpee and was the youngest of their three children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Gerald Wimpee, and brother-in-law, Jimmie Dunn.

Barbara was a 1974 graduate of De Queen High School and a member of Kern Heights Baptist Church. She married Bobby Harrison in the fall of 1979 and became mother of her only daughter, Bethany Michelle, in 1981. She was a stay-at-home Mom and full-time "Bamaw" to her three grandchildren.

Barbara was an amazingly strong woman who survived so much. She was always her family's rock and there whenever anyone needed her. She most loved, and was very proud of, her daughter and her beloved grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her smile, sharp wit, sarcasm, overly expressive face, and overwhelming love for those she held dear.

She loved her dog, Hattie and cat, Sylvester, red roses, all things Coca Cola and M&M's, her favorite driver, Kyle Busch, Ford Mustangs, sewing, listening to music, the poetry of Robert Frost, talking with friends, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bobby Harrison of Horatio; her daughter, Bethany Harrison Baracosa and husband, Kevin of Benton, her sister, Nelda Dunn of De Queen, and other close family members.

She is also survived by three grandchildren who were the light of her life and her shining stars: Duncan Sean Connor, Dovie Belle Connor, and Drew Joshua Baracosa.
