Mrs. Anna Lou Lunsford Drain, age 83, a resident of De Queen, and former resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the University of Arkansas Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas following a lengthy illness.
She was born to Claude Ray and Bonnie E. Smith Lunsford on June 14, 1941, in Montana. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Troy Drain, Jr. on July 2, 1960. To this marriage, two daughters were born. Anna worked for the Arkansas Times Newspaper while living in Fayetteville, as well as a homemaker. She was of the United Pentecostal faith, and enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters. Cathy Drain and Anita Sanderson, and a grandson, Troy Sanderson.
She leaves to cherish memory, her husband, Troy Drain, Jr. of De Queen; a grandson, Eric Sanderson and Mason Sanderson both of Washington State; two brothers and a sister-in-law Bobby and Margie Lunsford of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Billy Lunsford of Gerogetown, Texas, special friends, Preston and Kay Sirmon of De Queen, several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Anna Drain will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Redmen Cemetery, with Charles Krudwig, minister and Scott Standridge officiating.
